PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make excellently fixable an image even at a high processing speed by widening nip width without enlarging the outside diameter of a roll. SOLUTION: This heating and pressurizing belt fusion device 10 is constituted by including plural fusing nip forming members forming fusing nips 50, 86 and 88, and the fusing nip forming members are constituted by including an elastic endless member 12 and a pair of pressure engagement feasible members 14 and 20. The endless member 12 is interposed between a pair of engagement feasible members 14 and 20 so as to form the nip 50. Then, a substrate 24 for carrying a toner image 26 is passed through the nip 50 while bringing the image 26 into contact with the outside surface 30 of the endless member 12. Besides, at least one out of the forming members of the nip 50 is provided with a deformable layer and heat energy external sources 42 and 44 raising the temperature of the nip pre-area(pre-nip area) of the endless member 12. |
