PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple charcoal making device which enables carbonization of, for the most part, small materials to be carbonized such as pine cones, chestnuts in burs and twigs to enjoy the carbonized products as interior decorations. SOLUTION: This charcoal making device has a dual-oven structure in which an inner oven 2 is covered with an outer oven 1; a heat introduction opening 5 is formed at the undersurface of the outer oven 1; a heat cannel 9 is disposed between the outer oven 1 and the inner oven 2; and a chimney 3 penetrating from the inner oven 2 into the outside of the outer oven 2 and a thermometer 4 for measuring the temperature within the inner oven 2 are arranged; and this charcoal making device is placed on a stove by fitting its heat introduction opening 5 thereinto to effect the carbonization of small materials of a natural shape 14 to be carbonized by utilizing exhaust heat of the stove.
