<p>PURPOSE: To detect the periodical patterns of picture sequence within the consecutive picture feeding by including a motion detecting means and a logic means responding to a motion detecting signal. CONSTITUTION: This detector includes pixel displacing circuits 52, 60, 80 and 96 for the displacing of a pixel within consecutive picture frames, and a low-pass filter and threshold circuits 82 and 97 low-pass-filter-processes a motion signal. Then, only when it is over a preset threshold value level, it is pushed out to remove a noise and another artifact at a low level. Latch circuits 84 and 101 latches the motion signal in the continuing time of a present picture field. Thereby in a state circuit, each sequence of a recursion pattern responds to the recursion logical pattern of a motion signal detected within consecutive field sequences started by the film-picture transition of a 3-2 deteriorating ratio including a non-motion value, a motion value, a motion value, a motion value and a motion value and generates a mode signal showing the character of a picture sequence.</p> |
