Armrest (20) has internal volume for receiving hinge (22) pivoting seat base and comprises upper (24) and lower (26) plastic parts. Upper part has web (28) with projecting socket (32) engaging peg (62) in lower part. Additional sockets (34) are regularly distributed along web and additional pegs (64) in lower part. Upper part has at its rear end two clevises (40) fixing two parts of armrest. Lower part has hollowed bottom (54) with opening (56) for passage of constituent tubes of base.
