PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistive element, which is constituted into a structure such that the extraction electrodes of internal conductors can be jointed firmly to lead wires, and a method for manufacturing the element. SOLUTION: A resistive element has a main body 22, internal electrodes 14 embedded in the main body 22, and extraction electrodes 15, which are exposed on the external surface of the main body 22 and connected to the conductors 14. The electrodes 15 are composed of columnar conductors, extending along the thickness direction of the main body through an internal electrode pattern surface 14a of the internal conductors 14, and at least one ends 15a of the columnar conductors are exposed to the external surface of the main body 22. Lead wires 24 are respectively spot-welded to the exposed ends 15a of the columnar conductors via a metal foil 26a.
