PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize holding and fixing flat plate material, e.g. a flexible printed circuit, without using screwing, and facilitate the holding and fixing work of the flat plate material, regarding holding and fixing structure of flat plate material. SOLUTION: In an FPC of flat plate material, holding and fixing regions S having no conducting pattern P are formed on both side edges, and a pair of adjacently opened through holes h1, h2 are formed in the respective regions S. As a holding and fixing tool 10 of the FPC, a substrate 11 having a length nearly equal to the width of the FPC, a clip 12 which is disposed upright on one surface of the substrate 11 and attached to a fixing hole H, bands 14 which are formed in both ends of the substrate 11 and made to penetrate the holes h1, h2, and can be rolled back, and a locking part 13 for locking the movement of the bands 14 in the rolling back direction are formed integrally.
