PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device to be miniaturized, having a holder for holding both of a bare disk and a cartridge. SOLUTION: This disk device is provided with a disk holder 4, a holding member 10, and an inserting member 13. The projected part 12 of the holding member 10 is inserted through the center hole 16 of a disk 9 and the insertion hole 17 of the disk holder 4, the extended part of the inserting member 13 is inserted into the opening of the projected part 12 inserted through the insertion hole 17, the holding member 10 is supported by the extended part, the disk 9 is supported by the side part 11 of the holding member 10, and thus the disk 9 is held in the disk holder 4. Thus, by using the same disk holder 4, a disk having a different diameter and a different outer shape is held and, since the necessity of properly using the disk holder 4 according to the kind of a disk is eliminated, disk conveying and housing in the device are facilitated, and the device is miniaturized and simplified.
