摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for measuring the location of a pipe propulsion machine capable of measuring the direct distances between points of measurement without using a special distance measuring instrument such as an electro-optical range finder. SOLUTION: In the method for measuring the location of the pipe propulsion machine, a reference point of measurement C0, intermediate points of measurement S1 and S2, and a point to be measured S3 are set, and the relative location of the point to be measured S3 to the reference point of measurement C0 is measured on the basis of the angles that each line segment connecting between the points of measurement C0, S1, S2, and S3 forms with a measurement reference line and the direct distances between the points of measurement. The drive distances P0, P1, and P2 of a driving machine between the points of measurement are measured on the basis of the number of embedded propulsion pipes and the strokes of a basic thrust jack. On the basis of the results of the measurements and the length L1 of a straight section and distance L2 of a curved section of a planned line, the distance of straight movement and distance of curved movement of the driving machine are computed for every section between the points of measurement. On the basis of the results of the computation and the radius of curvature R of the curved path of the planned line, the direct distances P0, P1', and P2' between the points of measurement are computed.
