PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and strong plug and play connector, with clear contact-start point and which can securely follow sequence. SOLUTION: A socket contact is provided with a chevron contact part 21 receiving a mating contact to make contact and a straight terminal part 23 extended from the chevron contact part 21. The chevron contact part 21 consists of a tapered end part 25 extending as a free end at an insertion-coupling side, a top part 27 extending from the tapered end part 25 in an L-shape as a bent part R and a tapered middle part 29 extended from the top part 27 to the straight terminal part 23. A insulating coating film part 17 is formed either at the tapered end part 25 or the tapered middle part 29 to reduce surface area of a part where metal is exposed. As a result, two areas of the insulating coating film part 17 and reduced exposure part are set up, that is, nonconductive and conductive areas. |
