METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM FOR PREDICTING PARKING STATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking state predicting method for predicting a future parking state based on the parking state of a parking garage in the past and the parking state of the parking garage at present. SOLUTION: A time at which the parking state is to be predicted is set, for example, 20 minutes after the present time. First a latest time-series pattern preparation part 4 extracts the parking state from a specified time before the present time to the present from an input information data base part 2 as the latest time-series pattern. Also, a past time-series pattern preparation part 5 designates a plurality of dates and times in the past when the use state is considered to be similar to the present use state, and extracts the parking state in the designated dates and times from the input information data base 2 as a past time-series pattern. A similar time-series pattern extraction part 6 compares the plurality of past time-series patterns with the latest time-series patterns, and extracts the past time-series patterns similar to the latest time- series patterns. The parking state 20 minutes after the present is predicted from the results of the parking state after 20 minutes in the extracted past time-series pattern.
