PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate auction service using a network without an intermediary broker. SOLUTION: Terminals 41 to 43 of prospective purchasers set as a filter a condition about the article that they want to purchase. A terminal 30 of a seller sets a filter for transmitting information on an article for safe as an event and receiving bid information from the prospective purchasers. The terminals 41 to 43, when receiving the safe information transmitted as an event, set a filter for receiving bid information from the other prospective purchasers and information on an auction result, and then transmit bid information as an event. The prospective purchasers control a bid price while observing the bid information from the other prospective purchasers. The seller selects as a winner the prospective purchaser 1 transmitting bid information about the highest price among the bid information received in a fixed period, and transmits the result information as an event.
