<p>PURPOSE:To enable execution of pressurization to a desired arbitrary pressure and to render pressurization ineffective even when a pressurization button is pressed in case there is no need for pressurization by providing a measuring state discriminating means to discriminate whether an electronic blood pressure gauge is brought into a measuring state after the stop of pressurization. CONSTITUTION:A pressure sensor 4 converts the pressure of a cuff 1 into an electric signal. The cuff pressure is amplified by a amplifier 7 and is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 8 to input it in a CPU 9. Since, in a cuff pressure, a pulse wave component being a blood tube pulse wave is overlapped with a DC being a cuff pressure, the pulse wave component is separated from the cuff pressure for extraction by means of a digital filter function which the CPU 9 has. Further, the CPU 9 has a function to turn ON a pump 2 and continue pressurization while a pressurization switch 10 is turned ON until a pulse wave is detected after pressurization to a set value is effected, and a function to turn OFF the pump 2 and prohibit pressurization even when the pressurization switch 10 is turned ON after a pulse wave is detected. Thus, pressurization being rendered promptly ineffective when measurement processing is entered can be prevented from occurring.</p> |
