<p>A method for switch-on and switch-off control, in which prior to a switch off process, the actual collector emitter current of the power semiconductor switch is ascertained, and the switch-off speed during switch-off, and the switch-off speed during the subsequent switch-on process is controlled depending on the collective emitter current detected.
