PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of an organic EL element, with which a number of striped and paralleled cathode layers are easily formed at preset pitches and spaces. SOLUTION: A number of striped and paralleled anode layers 13 are formed on a substrate 11 and an organic EL layer 15 to cover the anode layers 13 is formed on the anode layers 13, and then such a sample is transferred to a vacuum evaporating device prepared for metal electrodes and a wire mask 19 is arranged on the organic EL layer 15. The wire mask 19 has a number of 10μm-diameter wires 19a made of gold(Au) arranged in parallel at pitches P2 of 100μm in a number of grooves in a preset size of outer frame. The surfaces of the wires 19a are covered with volatile component containing silicone oil. Then, magnesium(Mg) is evaporated onto the organic EL layers 15 via the wire mask 19 with vacuum evaporation to form a number of striped and paralleled cathode layers 17. |
