An image forming device providing various types of layouts and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to make a unique and special document by rearranging character strings of an original document through various conversion functions according to the selected layout. A layout converting module(16) discriminates a body corresponding to a printing section according to the layout inputted from the user and rearranges original document data to be printed to the inside of the body. A printing language converting module(18) converts the rearranged data into a language interpretable in the image forming device(20). A body decorating module(17) changes at least one property of a background color, a character color, a font, and an arrangement mode of the body.
