<p>A method and an apparatus for de-activating a point-to-multipoint MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) in a wireless communication system are provided to prevent a waste of system resources and power of a reception stage. A reception stage terminates a point-to-multipoint MBMS(302). After the reception stage completes a withdrawal procedure from the point-to-multipoint MBMS, it updates a service variable(304). Resources used while the reception stage is receiving the point-to-multipoint MBMS are released(306).</p> |
