<p>The heated support can be manufactured by subjecting an immobilized microorganism support in which activated sludge is immobilized by entrapment to heat treatment. Thereby, among plural kinds of microorganisms that exist in mixture in the activated sludge, bacilli that are bacteria resistant to heat remain selectively in the immobilizing material, and then result in a rapid growth. Thus, it is possible to support particular microorganisms at high concentrations in an immobilizing material without pure culturing of the microorganisms. <IMAGE></p> |
