A device for alarming fuel type in a vehicle is provided to protect an engine, and to prevent waste of fuel by displaying the kind of fuel definitely in filling and alarming opening of a fuel filler door. A fuel type alarm device for a vehicle includes a sensor, an alarm output unit, and an alarm module(3). The sensor detects opening or closing of a fuel filler door(1), and the alarm output unit displays the kind of fuel by processing a signal. The alarm module controls the alarm output unit by receiving the signal from the sensor. A voice memory unit is added to the alarm module, and the alarm output unit is formed of a speaker(5) and an LED(Light Emitting Diode). The sensor transmits closing information to the alarm module in closing the fuel filler door, and the alarm module stops the alarm output unit in finishing filling fuel.
