A driving device and a recording and/or reproducing device are provided to decreases the size of the driving device by changing the moving path of beam with a reflection mirror. A driving device(100) comprises a shaft(108,109), a motor(110), a base(104), a first reflection mirror(107), a second reflection mirror(101), and a reflection mirror rotating motor(102). The motor rotates the shaft. The base is moved along with the shaft. The first reflection mirror is supported by the base to change the path of beam. The second reflection mirror reflects the beam reflected by the first reflection mirror to a recording medium. The reflection mirror rotating motor rotates the second reflection mirror. A recording and/or reproducing device includes a beam splitter, a spatial light modulator, and the driving device. The beam splitter splits the beam generated from a beam source into first and second beams. The spatial light modulator makes data included in the first beam passed through the beam splitter.
