A device and a method for preventing a hybrid vehicle from rolling back on a slope are provided to hold the vehicle by creep torque by using a motor and to drive a CVT(Continuously Variable Transmission) electric motor pump and a connecting solenoid at the same time in starting an engine, if the residual capacity of a battery is small. A device for preventing a hybrid vehicle from rolling back on a slope is composed of: a unit(15) for sensing the speed and weight of the vehicle and the charge/discharge state of a battery on the slope; a control unit(14) CAN(Controller Area Network)-communicating with the sensing unit and controlling rollback of the vehicle on the slope by setting the use amount of torque according to the sensed information of the sensing unit; a first driving unit driven by a control operation of the control unit, to prevent the vehicle from rolling back on the slope firstly by using creep torque; and a second driving unit driven by a control operation of the control unit at the same time in starting an engine, to prevent the vehicle from rolling back on the slope secondly by using creep torque. |
