<p>A paging realization method, apparatus and system in wireless communication system are achieved in the present invention. In the method, a paging area is divided into at least two groups, and the groups are then divided into at least two sub-groups. The system parameter of the groups and the sub-groups is broadcasted and the page message is broadcasted from the individual sub-groups in the manner of space-time diversity or space-frequency diversity. The terminal determines the receipt manner, estimates the channel according to the broadcasted system information and then receives the page message. The present invention partitions the sectors in the same paging group of the same paging area and enables paging channels between the sectors to be softly combined and/or obtain transmitting diversity gains, so as to improve performance of the paging channels, especially to the users at the cell border. In the present invention, when transmitting in some space-time diversity manner or in some space-frequency diversity manner, the pilot design for the paging sub-groups ensures the terminal accurately estimate the forward channel from every paging sub-group.</p> |
