A display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce signal loss and noises by receiving low voltage digital input signals through two input terminals or less. A display apparatus includes a display panel, gate and data drivers(400,500), and a signal controller(600). The display panel includes plural pixels that display images. The gate and data drivers apply gate signals and data voltages to gate and data lines. The signal controller receives digital input signals having input control and input image signals in series through two or less input terminals, processes the input image signals, supplies the processed signals to the data driver, and controls the gate and data drivers. The signal controller includes a receiving unit for receiving the input signals and a clock generator for generating clock signals based on the input control signal, and processes the input image signals by synchronization with the clock signal.
