BACKLIGHT UNIT HAVING LIGHT-EMITTING DIODES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit having light emitting diodes (LEDs) which can be assembled easily in a simple manner and ensures reducion in manufacturing costs including material costs and increase in radiation efficiency and also provide a manufacturing method thereof.

SOLUTION: A backlight unit 100 comprises: a chassis 101 having an insulating film 102a formed on the top thereof; a circuit wiring pattern 105 formed on the insulating film 102a; and a plurality of LEDs 125 connected to the circuit wiring pattern 105 arranged on the insulating film 102a; wherein the chassis 101 is formed from aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and the insulating film 102a is formed as an aluminum anodized film, and moreover, the circuit wiring pattern 105 is formed by a printing method using silver paste.
