<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with a touch-down developing system developing device, the image forming apparatus suppressing toner-scattering, maintaining stable developing properties over a long period, then, capable of providing a stable image. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having the touch-down developing system developing device, is equipped with: a toner recovery roller that recovers the scattering toner suspended near a toner carrier and a two-component developer carrier and that is disposed downstream of the closest position between the two-component developer carrier and the toner carrier in the rotating direction of the two-component developer carrier, and also between the two-component developer carrier and a housing wall; a bias means that applies a bias voltage to recover the scattering toner onto the toner recovery roller; and a control means that controls the bias voltage in accordance with a printing ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
