PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compute the elasticity modulus of a tissue in a living body by utilizing ultrasonic measurement. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe 14 is made to abut to the living body 12. The ultrasonic probe 14 has a pressure sensor 20, and another pressure sensor 16 is mounted on the opposite side of the living body 12. A pressure distribution estimating part 40 estimates the pressure in each depth position. An elasticity modulus computing part 32 computes the elasticity modulus in each depth position based on the torsion in the depth position and the estimated pressure in the depth position.
