<p>A door opening and closing device (114) and an electronic apparatus (100), which can reduce the size of a door (110) of the electronic apparatus (100). The door opening and closing device (114) includes at least one locking surface portion (115) formed at a door (110) of a front panel (102), and at least one locking support portion (120) disposed horizontally to either an upper portion or a lower portion of the component on the front panel (102), for resiliently pressing the locking surface portion (115), to thereby keep the door (110) in an opened position or closed position. A transverse width (D) of a door (110) can be reduced to a range of the transverse width of components, which are intended to be covered by the door (110), such as the memory card opening, the connecting jack portion (108), and the control button portion (105). Thus, material and manufacturing costs can be reduced, and the degree of freedom in design of the door can be increased.
