FIELD: electric power engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power industry and can be used to determine short circuit on power transmission lines at measurements of instantaneous values of currents and voltages at non-synchronised measurements on its both ends. Technical result is achieved by taking into account phase and phase parameters in the presence of accurate synchronisation of measured values of currents and voltages at line ends not synchronised by time during measurement, which is carried out by combination of oscillograms from both ends of line along edge of beginning of short circuit.EFFECT: engineering problem of invention consists in improvement of accuracy of determining point of damage.1 cl, 2 dwg
