Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for modeling a two-tier heterogeneous cellular communication network. According to the present invention, the method for modeling a two-tier heterogeneous cellular communication network comprises: a step of setting a macrocell coverage area according to a Poisson point process; a step of grouping femtocells according to a second cluster process in the macrocell coverage area; and a step of using a two-tier network model including macrocells and the femtocells to induce a downlink probability and a mean achievable rate.
