Disclosed are a method, a device and a system for controlling the dynamic timeslot reduction pattern, which belong to the communication field. The method comprises: determining the size of the data amount to be processed by a terminal device which is in the dynamic timeslot reduction (DTR) pattern; sending a corresponding DTR control indication to the terminal device according to the determined size of the data amount, and enabling the terminal device to exit or maintain the DTR pattern according to the DTR control indication. In the present invention, a network side device determines the size of the data amount to be processed by a terminal device, and a corresponding DTR control indication is sent to the terminal device accordingly, so that the terminal device chooses to maintain or exit the DTR pattern according to the DTR control indication sent by the network side device. Thus it is unnecessary for the terminal device to exit the DTR pattern each time data is processed, and thus the power saving efficiency of the terminal device is increased. |
