PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device and a reception device for digital data.SOLUTION: A transmission device 10 comprises: an error corrective encoding part 12 which is configured to apply an LDPC mean encoding rate 89/120 to 16QAM configured in an aggregative division method, and perform connected encoding with an LDPC code and a BCH code having an LDPC coding rate set individually to respective bits of symbol configuration bits, and an orthogonal modulation part 15 performing orthogonal modulation on a signal dot series by the aggregative division method. The LDPC code has a predetermined number of coding rates determined according to correction capability of each bit, and the LDPC coding rate is set in the order of a first bit (a1), a second bit (a2), a third bit (a3), and a fourth bit (a4) so as to increase according to extension of a minimum Euclidean distance. A reception device 20 according to the present invention receives a modulated wave signal transmitted by the transmission device 10 of the present invention, and demodulates and decodes a modulation signal of 16QAM (mean encoding rate 89/120) of the aggregative division method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
