摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the brightness improvement in a liquid-crystal display having a wavelength conversion member with a wavelength conversion layer including a quantum dot in an epoxy matrix formed by photo curing.SOLUTION: A backlight unit comprises: a light source; and a wavelength conversion member positioned on an optical path of light radiated from the light source. The wavelength conversion member has a wavelength conversion layer including a quantum dot which emits fluorescence excited by excitation light in a matrix; the wavelength conversion layer is a photo-curable layer formed from a photo-curable composition cured by light irradiation; the photo-curable composition is a polymerization compound containing at least the quantum dot and an alicyclic epoxy compound; and the backlight unit containing a photo polymerization initiator and a loss rate of outgoing radiation light from the light source in the matrix of the wavelength conversion layer is 3% or less in terms of a thickness of 60 μm. Also provided are the liquid-crystal display, the wavelength conversion member, and the photo-curable composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
