PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mounting a roof molding that prevents detachment of the roof molding from a roof groove.SOLUTION: A roof molding 4 is made of resin and includes a head portion 5, a leg portion 6 and a lip portion 7. This mounting method is a mounting method for fitting the roof molding 4 to a roof groove 3 that is located at a joining portion between a roof panel 1 and a roof side panel 2 of a vehicle, extends in the vehicle longitudinal direction and has length in the vehicle width direction shorter than that in the vehicle width direction of the lip portion 7. In the mounting method, a clip 9 made of resin harder than the resin constituting the roof molding 4 is attached to the lip portion 7 to cover the lip portion 7 with the clip 9, and then, while the clip 9 and the lip portion 7 are elastically deformed, the leg portion 6 is inserted into the roof groove 3, so as to fit the roof molding 4 into the roof groove 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
