PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving mechanism of a tail stock with a swing stop, capable of moving a tail stock for holding a workpiece by a predetermined pressing force and achieving control necessary for holding the workpiece by the predetermined pressing force.SOLUTION: A moving-type tail stock includes two stages of upper and lower bases arranged on a ball screw 2, a tail stock 1 and a swing stop 7 arrayed in the upper base 61 in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the ball screw 2, and is characterized in that the upper base 61 can be fixed/moved in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the ball screw 2 with respect to the lower base 62, during the moving stage of the tail stock 1, torque generated by a motor for driving the ball screw 2 is detected, and at a stage where the torque reaches a predetermined reference value, a brake operation with respect to the rotation of the ball screw 2 and input cutting-off from a power source to the motor are achieved in a predetermined order.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
