PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet shielding stock having excellent dispersibility to an aqueous solvent while having excellent ultraviolet shielding effect, and excellent in transparency.SOLUTION: Provided is an ultraviolet shielding stock in which titanium oxide nanotubes having a tube length of above 150 to below 1,000 nanometer are dispersed into an aqueous solvent, thus having sufficient dispersibility into the aqueous solvent and in which high ultraviolet shielding effect and transparency can be made consistent by being produced by a method containing: a synthesis step where titanium oxide nanotubes are synthesized from titanium oxide by hydrothermal synthesis; a stirring step where, in a state where the titanium oxide nanotubes synthesized by the synthesis step and beads are mixed, the titanium oxide nanotubes and the beads are stirred; and an ultraviolet treatment step where the titanium oxide nanotubes are irradiated with ultrasonic waves.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
