PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device for delivering a therapeutic agent to a tissue.SOLUTION: Provided are: a medical device coated with a coating layer comprising a composition containing a therapeutic agent and a water-soluble additive, and in which the additive contains a surfactant and a compound, the medical device is a baloon catheter, the coating layer is on the exterior surface of the baloon catheter baloon, the therapeutic agent is selected from paclitaxel, rapamycin and a mixture thereof, the surfactant is PEG sorbitan fatty acid ester, and the compound is selected from sorbitol, xylitol and gluconolactone; a medical device in which, preferably, the PEG sorbitan fatty acid ester is mono-lauric acid PEG-20 sorbitan or mono-oleic acid PEG-20 sorbitan; and furthermore a medical device in which, preferably, the PEG sorbitan fatty ester is mono-lauric acid PEG-20 sorbitan and the compound is sorbitol.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
