PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-emphasis to a transmitter by a current mode driver according to one embodiment.SOLUTION: A current mode driver has a filtering circuit including a resistor, an inductor, and a capacitor. The filtering circuit receives a data signal and generates the data signal that is filtered. The filtering circuit may be adjusted so as to generate a resonance frequency having a shortage brake transient decay in the filtered data signal. The shortage brake transient decay compensates a signal deterioration to be generated by an optical transmitter. The current mode driver may also has a current source to be connected to the filtering circuit. The current source may generate a compensation signal on the basis of the filtered data signal which can drive the transmitter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
