In the present invention, a surface layer of a 7000 series aluminum alloy plate fabricated by a usual method is made to have a texture in which the cube orientation is promoted, and the center of the plate is made to have a texture in which the S orientation is promoted; that is, the surface layer of the plate and the center of the plate in the thickness direction are formed to have different textures that are most suitable in terms of shock absorption and strength, respectively. By doing so, the shock absorption in a car collision, which is evaluated by a VDA bending test as shown in fig. 1, is improved without lowering the strength. |
