A vehicle seat frame 1 is adjustably mounted on arcuate guides 7 each enclosing a slidable shoe 6 of plastic material. Arms 3 have outwardly directed pins 4 which releasably enter rubber sleeves 5 mounted in the shoes 6. The shoes have resilient tongues 9 engaging the roof of the guides 7 to prevent vertical play. Pivot pins (12 and 17) at Y and Z respectively are journalled in rubber bushes (11 and 16). The inclination of diverging arms 13 is controlled by rack 20 engaging cross-pin 22. The back rest B may be lowered rearwardly into a horizontal position, in alignment with the seat (Fig. 6, not shown). |
