摘要 1301127 Air-conditioning apparatus FRIED KRUPP GmbH 8 May 1970 [10 May 1969] 22412/70 Heading F4V An air conditioner comprises a mixing chamber 4 for fresh and returned air, an air filter 6, heat exchangers 7 and 8 using water as the heat exchange medium and enclosing a drip trap 9, a steam air humidifier 10 and a fan 11 installed in box-shaped housings assembled to form a compact uniform housing with a heating cell 12 and cooling cell 13 connected to said heat exchangers by circuits including limiting valves 16 and 17 and change-over valves 14 and 15. A fan 2 recirculates air through a duct 3, over a temperature sensor 18, a humidity sensor 19 and maximum and minimum humidity limiters 20 and 21. Other controls include a temperature sensor 22 in the fresh air duct 5 and another 23 between the heat exchangers 7 and 8. All these sensors are associated with a known regulating device. Pumps 40 and 30 determine the direction of flow of heating and cooling water. The ratio of recycled air to fresh air in the mixing chamber 4 is controlled by flap 25 operated by a motor 24. Operation.-With excessive humidity in the summer, valves 14 and 15 are controlled by limiter 20 to cause cold water to flow between heat exchanger 7 and cooling cell 3 to dehumidify the mixed air and hot water to flow between heat exchanger 8 and heating cell 12. Valves 16 and 17 come respectively under the control of humidity sensor 19 and temperature sensor 18. If heat exchanger 8 is unable to maintain the required room temperatures valves, 14 and 15 are actuated to divert hot water to heat exchanger 7. In winter with temperatures below 5‹ C. temperature sensor 22 actuates valves 14 and 15 so that heat exchanger 7 can only act as an air heater, and control of the humidity sensor 19 is switched from valve 16 to the flap setting motor 24 to vary the air mixture according to the humidity. During frost, sensor 23 shuts off the fans 2 and 11 and the fresh air flaps 25, valve 17 being opened and valves 14 and 15 being switched to the through flow position so that heat exchanger 7 can act only as a heater.
