Cadmium benzoate prepn from cadmium oxide and benzoic acid

Cadmium benzoate is prepared by heating cadmium oxide and benzoic acid in an autoclave at 140 - 190 degrees C pref. 170 degrees C draining the melt, and grinding it when cold. - Cadimum benzoate is used e.g. as component for plastics stabilisers.
