A tunable magnetron has, adjacent and spaced above each vane separating the cavities, an inductive tuner. Each inductive tuner is capable of being energized in order to occupy one of two pre-determined positions, each position corresponding with a different tuned frequency. The frequency changes produced by actuation of the different inductive tuners is arranged such that the frequency changes produced by each tuner vary in accordance with a binary relationship. |
