Liquid-resistant shipping cartons and the like, and liquid-resistant materials particularly adapted for construction of such cartons, are produced in accordance with methods wherein sheet thermoplastic material is formed into a generally planar, foraminous web having openings therethrough perpendicular to opposing faces thereof and webs of paper are adhered to the opposing faces of the thermoplastic material web.
