<p>When making cement from high alkali raw cement flour in a hot gas counter current stream revolving tube kiln, where the alkali contents in the flour is too high for the gas to remove it all, and where the heating gas after exit from the kiln is used for pre-heating the incoming charge material, part of the hot gas is extracted at 500-1100 degrees C through a stationary ring sleeve surrounding the kiln in the relevant zone. Pref. a tube projects centrally into the kiln in the ring sleeve area. The methods permits processing of high alkali cement flour, which would otherwise clog together and give rise to deposits choking the plant.</p> |
