Copy flattening roller for photocopier - fitted to lever which opens machine lid and operates safety microswitch

The photocopier has the copy material wound on a supply roll (3) from where it is taken and cut to the required length by cutters. A hinged lever (11) serves as a stay from the machine lid, to prevent the machine from operating when the lid is open. It acts on a safety microswitch which switches off the power when the lid is open. The bottom end of the lever is fitted with a roller (12) which stretches the copy material in the opposite way to the roll curvature and serves to flaten the copy before it is cut. The lever acts as the main operating control for the equipment.
