<p>The support is used for the retention of running- boards, or similar units, on top of roof tiles, and it incorporates an adjustable running-board carrier arm. At its open end, the carrier arm, (8), which runs out from a rotating hinge joint (9) on the side facing the roof tiles, is held by a support guide-rod (11), which runs out from a second rotating hinge joint (12) on the roof tile (2), and the effective length (L) of this rod can be varied. The guide rod may be in the form of a toggle lever. It may comprise two coaxially aligned rod sections fitted with rows of matching holes. The fixture bolt of one hinge (6) may carry a rearward facing hook (7) to overlap the roof batten.</p> |
