<p>The electronic silo discharge controller has a preselector on which the desired discharge rate is set (8), connected to a revolution controller (10). The controller adjusts the speed of a motor-driven feed screw (2). A counterbalanced hopper (1) has a continuous weighing device (4) whose amplified output signal (12) is fed to a logic circuit (16), counter (9) and comparator (15). The actual discharge colume of the silo is compared with the desired discharge as set by the selector (8) and a correction signal is obtained for fine adjustment of the feed screw speed. When the level in the silo falls below a certain limit, the logic control (16) initiates a refilling process. At the same time, the comparator signal is stored in a register (17) so that the operation of the discharge screw is unaffected by the replenishment cycle.</p> |
