PURPOSE:To produce the magnetic toner which is narrow in grain size distribution by stirring a specified monomer compsn. under high shearing in water contg. hydrophilic magnetic material particles, then adding a water soluble high-polymer dispersant to the compsn. in succession thereto. CONSTITUTION:The monomer compsn. contg. a polymerizable monomer, the magnetic particles and a lipophilicity imparting agent for the magnetic particles are stirred under the high shearing in the water contg. the hydrophilic magnetic material particles. The microdrops of the liquid of the monomer compsn. stuck with the hydrophilic magnetic material particles on the surface are formed in this way and in succession, the water soluble high-polymer dispersant is added to the compsn. to progress the polymn. The magnetic toner which is narrow in the grain size distribution is obtd. in such a manner. |
