<p>The diaphragm of the miniature pressure operated switch separates two switch housing chambers in a liquid- and gas-tight manner. One chamber is a switching chamber with contacts, while the other one is used as a pressure chamber. The circular diaphragm (7) is concentrically corrugated (12) and its centre point carries on the side facing the switching chamber an injection moulded switching cam (11) for direct contact actuation. The base of the switching cam is preferably enlarged in such manner as to abut the housing flange under vacuum. Its actuating side has a blind bore for retention of a valve insert. The peripheral sealing flange of the diaphragm may be provided with a conductive coating, at least at the side facing the switching chamber.</p> |
