Branch connection for stoneware pipe - has pipe section extruded using split composite core axially slidable at required angle

The pipes with a branch connection are made from clay on an extrusion press, using a split mould with a core. The pipe is moulded entirely by machine for use in an underground drain system. The mould (5) can be split in a plane formed by the pipe and pipe branch axes (6, 8). Along the axis (8) of the branch pipe is arranged a sliding core (7). The cores for the pipe and branch have cutouts to ensure a correct composite core for moulding the branch on the pipe.
