PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of a pipe with petaled fins while increasing the supply speed of a fin material, by supplying the corrugated fin material to the surface of an internal pipe for winding through a rotating wheel at the exit part of a tunnel guide under low tension. CONSTITUTION:A tapelike fin blank material 1 is formed in a currugated shape 1' by a couple of spur gears 2 and then intruded into a tunnel guide 3. The fin blank material 1'' in the tunnel guide 3 is braked by a sprocket rotating wheel 4 to decrease the pitch and slides on a support 6, and the material is wound around an internal pipe 5 under small tension at a speed nearly equal to the peripheral speed of the rotating wheel 4 and then soldered. Since the peripheral speed of the rotating wheel 4 is nearly equal to the winding speed of the internal pipe 5, only small tension operates on the fin blank material 1''' even when both speeds are increased, thus the finned pipe faster than before is manufactured. |
